1941 Ford 11c ½ Ton Pickup
“First on the roster of all trucks in the nation. There are more Ford trucks on the road today than trucks of ANY other make! First on the roll call of all trucks ever built and bought in this country. More Fords have been made and sold than trucks of any other make! First in horsepower per pound of gross vehicle weight, for comparable equipment. No wonder Ford Trucks get “first call” from operators who check closely into costs and quantity.” From a 1941 print ad.
For auction, a 1941 Ford 11C ½ ton pickup shell that represents a solid starting platform for someone interested in building it!
Exterior
Only the cabin and doors are present, and they wear a clean and even coat of stain black paint. Door handles and lock cylinders are in place but there are no windows, windshield or back glass. There's also no rust. Varying hubcaps top the red painted 15-inch steel wheels.
Interior
The door panels are barren and sprayed with the same satin black. There's a steering wheel in place and the vintage gauge cluster, both in decent shape. Beyond that, a few boxes of parts occupy the interior of the cabin, situated inside the base for a bench seat.
Drivetrain
There's a Ford 8.8” rear and what you hook to it will be your choice, be that an original 119.7ci four cylinder or perhaps a supercharged eight?
Undercarriage
The black painted frame is straight and clean and suspension is onboard as a front transverse leaf spring and leaf springs on each side out back. Steering linkage is intact and functional and brakes include front disc and rear drum.
