1941 Dodge WC-4 ½ Ton Open Pickup

Dodge evolved the 1940 VC‑1 to VC‑6 into the equally half ton rated WC series of military light trucks, produced in 38 model variants, of which 30 were four wheel driven, in varying amounts. Thousands of some models were produced, while only a few of some others were made. Open cab pickups/weapon carriers were the most numerous of the 1⁄2 ton WC series 

Up for auction, a 1941 Dodge WC-4 ½ ton open pick up with unknown miles, but presenting in very good condition with decent paint, clean seats, and a mock rifle mounted in the bed.  

Exterior
Olive drab green covers this military vehicle and is only contrasted by the white decals that include Army stars, U.S.A, and a vehicle number. An enormous front tow hitch is mounted to the front so this vehicle can be pulled and behind it a heavy duty brush guard over the grille and headlights. There's also a winch on board. Louvers line the hood sides for heat extraction and wide fenders drop down to running boards which eventually meet the rear arching fenders. 16-inch wheels are on hand and wrapped in LT rated tires. Out back, the tailgate leads to the bed which is lined with boarded benches which can double as shelves and the bed is stake sided as well. The exterior presents cleanly with no major dents or blemishes to the paint. 

Interior
Tall steel shelled bucket seats are covered in high grade canvas and in decent condition. Sparse up front where a three spoke steering wheel front a green steel dashboard with just a few gauges and information plates. The barren floor is home to the shifter, handbrake and other controllers. 

Drivetrain
Green on green is the 218ci L-head inline 6 cylinder under the hood with a 1-barrel carburetor metering the fuel and a 3-speed manual sending power to the front and rear axles with 4.11 gears. Drum brakes are supplied front and rear. The rig runs on a 12 volt system. 

Undercarriage
A single exhaust system utilizes a stock style muffler and the suspension is configured as leaf springs front and rear.

Drive-Ability
The truck cranks but unfortunately does not start.
